Your stairway to the stage
1. Audition with integrated workshop
between 30 September and 9 October 2024 (2 days each)
at Musikakademie Schloss Weikersheim
Thanks to our coachings you will activate your range of body expression potentials and your stage presence. You are to prepare one aria from „Die Fledermaus“ or another stylistically comparable aria and one aria of your own choice.
2. Final auditions
18 and 19 November 2024
Our jury led by the music director and the artistic director of the production will take the final decisions on the (two) casts. All participants will receive an individual feed-back after their audition. For this auditions we will invite opera directors and artistic managers of opera houses.
3. spring session 2025
17 to 30 March 2025
at Musikakademie Schloss Weikersheim
Participation is compulsory, in order to qualify your own preparatory studies until June 2025. You will study your role along with piano accompaniment under instruction by our singing coaches. The stage director will explain his production concept. Led by the choreograph you will train basics for your scenic action.
4. Summer session 2019
23 June until 23 July 2025 – with orchestra and choir
Instructed by your coaches (singing, acting, Italian language, choreographing, Alexander technique) you will work on the interpretation of your role in the context of stage, choir and orchestra. Besides the singing studies the focus will be laid on the
development of your role playing (scenic) abilities.
5. Premiere und 8 performances
24 July until 3 August 2025 – Courtyard Weikersheim Castle
The Premiere on 24 July 2025 will be followed by 8 performances in the inner courtyard of the Renaissance castle in front of the audience of 1.000 seats.
6. Your chance
Many of our singers have already been engaged by an opera house directly from out of our production.
